No one is blaming Maxie Jones for being on edge on General Hospital. She’s had a rough last couple of years, what with the ignoring everyone’s warnings and insisting on getting involved with a very obvious psychopath, then hiding her child from the very obvious psychopath, then dealing with the fall-out from the death of said psychopath and the return of her very confused baby daughter — not to mention dealing with her equally confused older two children.
General Hospital Polling
We don’t even blame Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) for having unclear motivations and vague plans. We blame the writers more for that. Which is also why we asked the fans: Should GH cut their losses with the dead-on-arrival pairing?
Catching Some Zzzzz’s
Yes, please, a vast majority 87% are asking nicely. Maxie (Kirsten Storms) and Austin, who can be interesting on their own, are SO boring together. Little Georgie doesn’t like them. And, to be honest, neither do we.
Reimagine And It Feels So Good
A much smaller 7% is open to the idea of Austin and Maxie taking a break, then coming back together after a while. Only this time, you know, with a story. Preferably an interesting one. Maybe we can finally find out who Austin really is and what he actually wants. Does he want to play in the big leagues with the Quartermaines? Is he a dedicated doctor? Why is he periodically whispering in corners? We would like some drama, please.
Give Maxie Jones and Austin Gatlin-Holt Some Time
On the other hand, an almost equal 6% of the audience is willing to give Maxie and Austin more time to charm them. Just keep putting them on, day after day. It doesn’t matter what they’re doing. It’s like a vaccine. Just keep exposing us to them constantly until we can’t fight it any longer.
