The General Hospital recaps for July 11 – July 15, 2022, feature a new sheriff (or, at least a new hotelier) in town, happy news traveling, a best laid plan being put into action, and so much more.
It’s Independence Day in Port Charles. Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) spies Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) and Officer Rory Cabrera (Michael Blake Kruse) locking lips… Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) rumbles that Spencer has Esme Prince’s (Avery Kristen Pohl) comeuppance well in hand… Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) receives a disconcerting phone call.
Michael Corinthos (temporarily played by Robert Adamson) prevents Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) from sharing her pregnancy news with Sonny. The couple do clue Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) in… Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) resigns herself to going on a date with Cody Bell (Josh Kelly).
GH was preempted.
Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) reveals that she’s bought Carly’s former share in the Metro Court, then offers to return it to Carly free of charge. Carly turns her rival down flat. Sonny assures Nina that he understands her motives were pure. Afterwards, he commits himself to her fully.
Trina and Rory decide to see where their nascent romance develops… Sasha Gilmore Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) refuses to concede that she needs help dealing with her addiction to narcotics.
Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) tried and failed to convince Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) that murdering Laura Collins (Genie Francis) was unnecessary. During a conversation with Laura, Valentin catches sight of a sniper and prevents her assassination. Valentin sets about luring Laura out of town.
Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) identify and rattle the man who sold Esme the burner phone she used to record Josslyn and Cameron Webber’s (William Lipton) lovemaking. They trail him to the Spoon Island ferry
Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) implores Trina to use the ace up her sleeve. Trina confides in Josslyn that she has an alibi for the time that the sex tape was disseminated to the PCU populace – Spencer!
Despite agreeing to act as Curtis and Marshall’s woman on the inside, Ava fails to catch Esme and her shady point man conspiring. Esme balks when Ava attempts to bribe her into admitting her misdeeds. Spencer readies himself to confront Esme… Josslyn makes it clear to Trina that she’ll rat out Spencer should it seem the trial isn’t going in Trina’s favor.
Carly bids the Metro Court adieu… Sonny and Nina have a set-to regarding the former’s lingering feelings for Carly… Laura learns that her mother’s Italian abode has been torched. Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) encourages her to go and see to it that all is well with Lesley Webber.
