The General Hospital recaps for July 18 – July 22, 2022, feature disorder in the court, panic at the disco *ahem* at the hospital proper, and so much more.
Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) trial is called to order. Cameron Webber (William Lipton) and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) take the stand; Josslyn fails to account for Trina’s movements the night the sex tape was filmed… Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) bluffs that he has found Esme Prince’s (Avery Kristen Pohl) birth mother. When Esme seemingly bites, Spencer tells her the price for the name is Trina’s freedom.
Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) converge at Nathan’s grave. Liesl learns that Nina has acquired Carly Corinthos’s (Laura Wright) share of the Metro Court. The women overhear Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) share with Jonah that she’s with child… TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) summons Willow to the hospital for a frank discussion about her latest test results.
Michael Corinthos (temporarily played by Robert Adamson) made a point of telling Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) that Willow was pregnant and that he’d have no relationship with the child.
Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) is chagrined to hear that Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) has planned a date with Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud)… Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) and Officer Rory Cabrera (Michael Blake Kruse) are each called to give testimony. Jordan highlights Trina’s cooperation; Rory is forced to admit that he’d caught Trina and Josslyn at The Sidewinder in the midst of trying to locate a bartender known for handling ‘hot’ cellphones.
TJ warned Willow that her white blood cell count was high, and it didn’t appear that her pregnancy was the cause. Willow agrees to sit for more tests, but she forgoes telling Michael of the development.
Spencer correctly deduced how and when Esme set up the camera to record Cameron and Josslyn’s intimate moment and how she was able to recover the device; he also (rightfully) opinions that Esme drugged Trina with the same pills she keeps hidden away in her bedroom. Esme attempts a double bluff, but Spencer sees right through her and issues his demand – clear Trina or he’ll never reveal the name of her birth mother.
Despite his nerves, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) takes to the stage during The Haunted Star’s Open Mike Night. Chase and Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s (Amanda Setton) scheme pays off – slimy Linc Brown (Dan Buran) expresses an interest in repping him.
Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) spoils Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and Austin Gatlin-Holt’s (Roger Howarth) night out on the town. Austin receives an order to rendezvous with a menacing-looking chap on the ship’s deck… Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) insists on relying on outpatient therapy alone to deal with her problems… Sonny makes plans to deal with Felty (Brian Norris)… Cody’s attempts to wine, dine, and impress Britt are far from successful.
GH was preempted.
Esme tracks down the miscreant who sold her the much-discussed burner phone. When he threatens to turn her in to the proper authorities, Esme sets about drugging him into oblivion. Selina Wu (Lydia Look) points Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and Marshall (Robert Gossett) in the direction of the man currently at Esme’s mercy… With Maxie breathing down his neck, Spinelli cops to the fact that he’s the mastermind behind Society Setups… Austin is called back home on orders of an enigmatic ‘she.’
