Your Choice for General Hospital’s Most Wasted Character in 2016

Characters come and go on General Hospital and, unfortunately, some get lost in the shuffle. For some reason, there are a few every year who seem to not be utilized to their full potential. While they’re on screen often, their storylines never seem to take center stage.

In 2016, many names were bandied about, including Duke’s son, Griffin, and the terminally ill Dr. Finn. Soap Hub asked fans who you think was the most wasted GH character of 2016.

Griffin
The good doctor – that is, Dr. Griffin Munro – was tops with fans, amassing 64% of your votes. While Griffin (Matt Cohen) was involved in numerous plots, there was never one he could truly call his own.

Just when it seemed he was finally about to get his first front burner story, as a father being united with the daughter he never knew he had, a surprise twist ended it. Little Charlotte was revealed to be Valentin’s (James Patrick Stuart) child.

So, the handsome, eligible (well sort of–did he ever leave the priesthood like he said he would) bachelor remains single and story-less on the sidelines.

Finn
Michael Easton fans were disappointed with Finn’s fate in 2016. Hence, his quirky character was the choice of 29% of you.

You’re not exactly taken with his mysterious medical condition and hoped it would have been cured by now.

While you had high hopes for a Hayden (Rebecca Budig) and Finn pairing, that was quickly sabotaged when she came down with the very same ailment he has.

Other PC Citizens
The final 7% of you were divided among a few Port Charles citizens. Some of you would have liked to have seen Franco (Roger Howarth) in a more prominent plot, while others were hoping Jordan (Vinessa Antoine) would have had more to do than investigating crimes at the cop shop.

A number of you have already jumped on the Nelle (Chloe Lanier) bandwagon, believing she deserved much more screen time.
