It looks like The Young and the Restless alum Lamon Archey (ex-Mason Wilder) will find himself on Days of Our Lives soon.
According to Soap Central, a July casting call under the fake name of Levi ended up being for Valerie’s (Vanessa Williams) son, Eli. Apparently, Archey will fill the role and beef up the young adult scene in Salem.
A funny, quick-witted, protective, intelligent dream man, Eli is rumored to be involved with Gabi (Camila Banus), which should thrill fans of Chad (Billy Flynn) and Abby (Marci Miller). Perhaps it’s a sign that they’ll be together as a family again soon.
Eli will also be the first mixed-race Horton, as he is the son of David Banning and grandson to Julie. We’ll just have to assume Valerie had a an affair with David off-screen years back after they both left town, because she definitely didn’t have his son before the two were written off the canvas.

If Archey’s face looks familiar to DAYS fans, it’s because he portrayed a Centerville cop from 2011 to 2013. The talented actor is expected to appear on the show sometime in early 2017.
