On General Hospital, Sonny has left mob life behind. Thanks to a convenient case of amnesia, he’s lost all memory of his criminal life, and is now a happy-go-lucky working stiff named Mike, helping out in a diner, and not even manhandling the barware!
General Hospital Polling
Is this the perfect opportunity for the Port Charles mobster to say good-bye to all that and go straight? What almost 3,000 viewers told us:
Stay the Course
A majority 53% of you can’t imagine a life for Sonny that doesn’t include mumbled threats and vague evil deeds that are outweighed by his love for his family. Sonny wouldn’t know how to live without his criminal career, and, let’s be honest, he has no other skills, professionally speaking.
No matter how many times he’s complimented on his brilliant fixer-upper skills. If he wants to continue a life of luxury and buying whatever he wants, it’s not like he knows how to do… anything useful.
Scales of Justice
A smaller 37% of the audience lives for the push and pull of Sonny being a living saint who is forced to do bad things, but exclusively for good reasons. Every time he commits a crime, it’s to stop an even larger one from being committed against those he loves. If Sonny had to follow the same rules as the rest of us boring plebians, what fun would that be?
Be a Good Boy
A last-place 10% of fans want Sonny (Maurice Benard) to use this situation as an opportunity to become an even greater man than he currently is. Wouldn’t he love to rub it in the face of all those who doubted him all these years that he can be an even bigger success without needing to break a single law?
