Prediction Time: How We Lose Hayden on General Hospital (GH)

While we don’t want to lose General Hospital’s Rebecca Budig and hence her character, Hayden, it’s going to happen soon. We also don’t understand it since she’s become a beloved character and part of a popular coupling.

On top of that, Hayden has been established as a part of the Webber family, created a bond with her sister, Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst), and is pregnant. After being apprehensive about becoming a parent at first, Hayden now embraces the idea. So, we now think we know what happens to prompt her exit.

It’s easy to see that Obrecht’s inexplicable obsession with Finn (Michael Easton) is going to lead her even further down the revenge route. And, we have a sneaking suspicion that Hayden may end up in the wrong place at the wrong time.

While we can’t be sure what Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) will do, it’s a pretty safe bet that Hayden will somehow take a fall or have another such “accident” that causes her to lose the baby she’s now become attached to.

Feeling despondent and that she has no real ties to Finn anymore, Hayden will leave town leaving Finn on his own with no actual Port Charles ties and no love interest.

While all of this sounds cliché, the writing is on the wall. We’re not even sure why GH decided to make Hayden pregnant just to write her off and have a feeling when the writers made the baby decision, they had no idea they wouldn’t be able to see the story through due to Budig’s exit.

It all feels like such a waste, but we predict this is the way it’s going to end for an amazing actress and amazing character.
