Peter August is dead on General Hospital, and this time, the fans are really, really hoping he stays that way. On the other hand, there are some dearly departed that you would be thrilled to see returned, dead or not.
Considering five people came back from the dead last year, it’s not like this would be something new in Port Charles. But who should it be this time? Here’s who almost 2,000 of you are hoping for:
Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) has three kids with three different dads. (We’re not judging, she’s hardly the only one in town — hey, Elizabeth Webber Baldwin! Hey, Carly Corinthos!) But now that the worst of the lot, Peter (Wes Ramsey), is hopefully six feet under — and many, many miles even further below, in Hell — 52% of the audience thinks it would be the ideal time for the best of the bunch, Nathan West (Ryan Paevey), to return for a reunion with his sweet baby James…James’s mama…and her other kids, too.
We realize that Roger Howarth is busy playing Austin Gatlin-Holt now, but 34% of voters would still like to see Franco Baldwin return. So here’s the plan: Howarth continues playing Austin, a new actor plays Franco (or maybe an old one; like, you know, how about original portrayer James Franco, he’s not exactly as in demand as he used to be for movies these days)…and the good people of Port Charles continue pretending they don’t notice the resemblance at all. That won’t be confusing at all!
Speaking of women who have three different children with three different men — hi, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) — a last place 14% want her first baby daddy, Julian Jerome (William DeVry)…and his abs…to climb out of whatever watery grave he’s assumed to be floating in, and come home to finish the business he and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) started. After all, if Sonny got to survive their confrontation, why shouldn’t Julian? A body found? Pfttt. People have come back from worse.
