Felicia and Lucy’s pop over to Pine Valley from General Hospital reminded viewers that we don’t know as much about Lucy’s main squeeze, Martin Grey, as we think. Sure, he’s a lawyer, and he’s Laura’s long-lost brother. But is he?

Now that Jackson Montgomery (Walt Willey) has whetted our appetites, we have to wonder if there is more All My Children to “Martin” than meets the eye. Here’s who almost 2,000 fans hope he turns out to be:

Martin Grey: Nope, Wine Country

Only 4% of voters would like him to be Ted Orsini. Ted was the person Tad Martin thought he was after an explosion on a bridge, a presumed death, and a nasty case of amnesia. Of course, the real Ted eventually turned up. And was eventually vanquished. He disappeared. Maybe he’s re-appeared?

General Hospital: Cad and Play

Of course, he should be Tad (Michael E. Knight), 16% of the audience can’t imagine another possibility. In fact, he should be Tad working undercover with his old PI partner, Anna (Finola Hughes). Tad lost his license back during his Pine Valley days. That’s why he’s working undercover now. And, uh, he also got a law license. He’s had time since AMC was canceled. And then jumped ahead in time five years. And was canceled again. He took on Martin Grey’s identity. But he’s really our own Tad Martin.

But 80% of you like things staying just the way they are. Martin is Laura’s (Genie Francis) brother, and he’s Cyrus’s (Jeff Kober) brother. He’s got three ex-wives, a legit law degree, and a Southern accent that goes more than it comes. There is no great mystery here, nothing to see or uncover. Stop looking for trouble where it doesn’t exist, sit back, and enjoy the show.
