Third Party: Will Esme Break Up Nikolas and Ava on General Hospital?

From the moment Esme Prince first appeared on General Hospital, fans were wondering what she wanted — and who she wanted it from? At first, we assumed it was just Spencer Cassadine.

But little did we suspect that Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) was only a tool to get Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) into the lives of Ava Jerome (Maura West) and Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) — at Ryan Chamberlin’s (Jon Lindstrom) order. So will Esme be able to break up Nik and Ava? What almost 4,000 viewers told us:

Perfection Achieved

Nope, 86% of you confidently shrug. Maybe if we were talking about some other couple then, yeah, sure, maybe, but Ava and Nik are meant to be. This isn’t a pair of kids who don’t know what love really is.

This is a couple who has made a lot of mistakes before ending up together. Ava dated more than one sociopath — literally, and Nik got into a bad habit of wives dying on him. After all that, no one can break them up now that they’ve finally found each other.

General Hospital: She Can Do Better

Esme would be doing Ava a favor by breaking up her and Nik, a much smaller 11% of the audience insists. Why is a woman as worldly and sophisticated as Ava wasting her time with an overgrown child? Nikolas can’t handle his own son, he can’t handle himself — he thinks he’s up to handling a treasure like Ava?

He Can Do Better

Esme would be doing Nikolas a favor by breaking up him and Ava, an even smaller 3% counters. Nikolas is the white sheep of his murderous family. So why is he hanging out with a murderer like Ava? Sure, she got away with it. Which means she’s motivated to do it again, with that kind of feedback loop. Sleep with one eye open, Nik.
