New mobsters don’t last long on General Hospital. They traditionally come on, try to challenge Sonny Corinthos, then get the floor wiped with them, and get out of town either with their tail between their legs…or in a body bag. Selina Wu, however, seems cut from a different cloth.
General Hospital Polling
Maybe it’s because the bulk of her reign of terror took place while Sonny (Maurice Benard) was an amnesiac and away. Maybe it’s because Sonny’s favorite enforcer, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), is presumed to be sleeping with the fishes. Maybe Selina is just better than any man or woman who has come before her. Either way, she seems to be in Port Charles for the long haul. So isn’t it time we learned more about her?
We’re Good In Port Charles
Nah, 40% of you shrug, busy with other things. If we were to learn more about Selina (Lydia Look), then we might start thinking of her as a person. And if we start thinking of her as a person, then she might enter our hearts as yet another saintly mobster. And if that happens, then we won’t be rooting for Sonny (Maurice Benard) to take this woman down like he’s done with all other pretenders to the throne. And who wants that?
Tell Me Everything GH Style
Oh, yeah, 33% of the audience cheers, we need to know it all! What drove Selina to a life of crime? What motivates her? Is she really Brad Cooper’s (Parry Shen) aunt, or is she something cooler, like this mother? Let’s get soapy!
Good General Hospital Story
A last place 27% are open to a tale of Selina’s past, but only if the story gets plenty of airtime. You don’t want one of those drop a bombshell, then forget anything is happening for three months at a time. Selina Wu deserves respect, damn it, and so do any revelations about her undoubtedly fascinating past!
