General Hospital’s Sasha Gilmore and Brando Corbin have been through the worst thing that can happen to a couple when their newborn, Liam, was born prematurely and subsequently died. The couple was planning a life together, but with Liam gone, they were wondering if it was even worth it.

Then Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) started using drugs again. Which led Brando (Johnny Wactor) to decide that she wasn’t grieving right. And then they spontaneously decided to get married. With all this whiplash, are fans even invested in this struggling couple? What over 2,000 voters told us:

Brando and Sasha being able to get through Liam’s death proves what a strong couple they are, according to 44% of you. Couples who’ve been together longer stumbled when it came to a tragedy of this magnitude, which proves that Sasha and Brando are in it for the long haul. This is a beautiful and unconventional love story, and you want to see more of it.

General Hospital: Happy Times

A slightly smaller 40% of the audience is OK with continuing to watch Sasha and Brando, but could we, maybe, you know, put a pause on the heartbreaking drama? It’s hard to be invested in a couple when they never have any sweet, fun, good times together. Everything is non-stop crying all the time, and while you’re sympathetic, it’s also not your idea of a good time.

Why are these two even in Port Charles, 16% of fans are wondering? Sure, Brando is a distant relative of Sonny Corinthos’s (Maurice Benard), which, of course, makes him valuable, but Sasha is the fake daughter of a woman who doesn’t have many ties to the canvas, either. They are on an island of despair…and need to either be tied better to the canvas or sadly…maybe move away together to find happiness away from Port Charles.
