Pay the General Hospital Piper: Should Portia Be Punished For Her Crime?

Portia Robinson may work at General Hospital, but she was hardly acting the role of caring doctor when she took it upon herself to forcefully wake a man from his coma so that he might testify in her daughter, Trina Robinson’s, trial.

The guy could have died. Portia is lucky he didn’t. Is it all’s well that end’s well, or should she be punished for her crime?

GH: No Harm Done

Exactly half of you, 50%, are Team Everything Turned Out Fine So What’s the Problem? The guy didn’t die. Trina (Tabyana Ali) is free. And it’s not like Portia (Brook Kerr) was explicitly told NOT to wake up a comatose patient… who isn’t even hers. Technically, she did nothing wrong. And, by technically, we mean if we ignore ethics, rules, the Hippocratic Oath, and, very likely, GH’s own rule of conduct.

General Hospital: Parental Privilege

In Port Charles, as long as a parent does it in the name of their child, all crimes are forgiven – or ignored, 33% of you remind. Look at everything Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) has done to protect her precious family. Whether they asked for it or not. Same goes for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), Ava Jerome (Maura West). It’s basically a Get Out of Jail card. You wouldn’t want Portia to be deprived of something everyone else receives as their due.

Murder Inc

Only 17% are under the impression that risking the death of a helpless man might be considered a crime in some areas of the world – if not in Port Charles. Was Portia thinking about Ozzy’s prognosis when she injected him? Was she thinking about the damage of putting a man under stress seconds after he came out of coma? Or did she only care about what she wanted, and damn any consequences?
