Man of the General Hospital House: Was Finn Right To Question Jake?

Poor little Jake Webber on General Hospital. He’s had so many fathers! Lucky Spencer is his legal dad and still considers Jake his son, even though Jason Morgan is the biological father, and would periodically pretend to be interested in Jake, too.

With Lucky (Jonathan Jackson) out of the country and Jason (Steve Burton) not even interested in the son he had with the supposed love of his life, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), Jake (Hudson West) relied most on stepfather Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth).

But then Franco was killed, and mom Elizabeth Webber Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) moved onto Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton). And Finn seems to feel comfortable enough in the new dynamic that he thinks he can cross-examine Jake. Did he make the right call? What almost 2,000 viewers had to say:

Helping Hand

Finn shouldn’t have stuck his nose into Elizabeth’s kids’ private business, 56% of you concede, but you are also willing to acknowledge that his heart was in the right place. He was just trying to help. And he thought that because he has no trouble handling angelic Violet Finn (Jophielle Love), that a teenage boy would be equally as easy. Rookie mistake.

General Hospital: Friend of the Family

Of course, Finn was right to question Jake, he’s practically a member of the family now, 39% counter. Elizabeth is being stalked and could be in danger. It’s Finn’s job as the main manly around to explore all the possibilities, even if that means making Jake grumpy.

Stand Back

A last-place 5% of the audience points out that Finn is not Jake’s father. He’s not any of his many fathers. It is not his place to harass the kid, especially without Elizabeth there. Now Jake had to make a confession that just upset Elizabeth more. Nice job, Finn!
