Lots of spooky things happening these days to Elizabeth Webber Baldwin on General Hospital. With the pain of husband Franco Baldwin’s death still so fresh for her, Elizabeth Webber looks to be suffering from a split personality disorder…or is she being haunted by her lost love?
General Hospital Polling: The Real World
Uh-uh, no way, 52% of you dismiss. Port Charles may have had aliens…and vampires…and angels…and saintly mob bosses. But ghosts are few and far between. Not because we don’t believe in them. But because they’re so…final. If Franco truly is a ghost, then there’s no chance of him ever coming back from the dead. (Though David Lewis’s Edward Quartermaine managed to do just that after appearing as a ‘ghost’ to his dear wife Lila, played by Anna Lee.)
Also, Robin Scorpio chatted with the ghosts of her dead parents after finding out that she was HIV-positive, and they turned out to still be alive. But that was…before. We don’t want Liz (Rebecca Herbst) to be seeing Franco in the spirit realm. Because we want to see him back among the living.

Yup, Franco is still alive, 40% of the audience agrees. If Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) can come back from the dead, and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), and the aforementioned Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers), and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), then why not Franco? And we mean the real Franco. Not the pale imitation lookalike. Who no one seems to notice looks… alike.
General Hospital: That’s It!
Only 8% are jumping on the ghost bandwagon because that’s the only thing that makes sense. Liz had gone through multiple tragedies in the past, including losing Lucky Spencer – another back from the dead-er! – without losing her mind. So why should Franco’s demise have driven her over the edge? A ghost, on the other hand, is romantic and proves that true love never dies. It just assumes a different form. Franco the artist would love that.
