General Hospital Ava and Sonny
Sure, Sonny Corinthos and Ava Jerome Cassadine share a child on General Hospital. But they were never a couple. They just had sex. That one time. In a crypt. Because Sonny didn’t like the idea of Ava dating his precious baby boy, Morgan Corinthos. As one does.
Little Avery is the result of that lapse in judgment on both their parts. But she has never known a time when Mommy and Daddy weren’t at each other’s throats. The other day, however, Sonny (Maurice Benard) was actually civil to Ava (Maura West). Sure, she’s been stabbed, and Sonny was trying to make it all about him, but still, progress! If it keeps on going like this, could Sonny and Ava actually fall in love? Here’s what over 2,000 voters wanted us to know.
Nah, 68% of fans dismiss. Sonny has his hands full with Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), and Ava might still forgive Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) for his little teeny-bopper boink. It would be nice if they were friends, though. For Avery’s sake, if nothing else.
They have amazing chemistry, 20% of you cheer, and we’d really like to see where that might lead. Besides, if Sonny and Ava became a thing, Carly would have no more claims on Avery. And you know how angry she gets when she’s not allowed to collect all the babies!
A final 12% don’t even want the pair smiling nicely at each other. They are much more fun as mortal enemies who have to smile through clenched teeth for the sake of their daughter. We want to see them snark and snipe. A nice Sonny and Ava is a boring Sonny and Ava. Not to mention if they get moony-eyed over each other.
