Can This General Hospital Union Be Saved: What’s Next For Ava and Nik?

Now that General Hospital’s Ava Jerome Cassadine knows that husband Nikolas Cassadine slept with the scheming teeny-bopper in their midst, Esme Prince, is there any chance for a grown-up reunion? Where this relationship is going:

General Hospital: As Time Goes By

This is a soap, right, 47% of you remind. Nothing is rushed, everything takes time. Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) will be able to convince Ava (Maura West) to take him back, but it won’t happen overnight. She needs to get over her anger. And Nik needs to grovel. A lot. This is a terrific match for both of them, and if they don’t realize it today, maybe they will tomorrow. Or the year after that.

GH Nothing To It

This is nothing, 29% of the audience dismiss. Both Ava and Nik have been through way, way worse with their previous romantic interests. Remember when Ava was hooked up with serial killer Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom)?

Or when Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) was only keeping from killing her because she was pregnant with either his child…or his grandchild? It kind of makes Nik’s crimes pale in comparison, doesn’t it? As for Nikolas, it’s not like he’s in love with Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl). He’s just a dumb guy. And she’s a pretty young woman. He didn’t really have any say in the matter, the poor sap.

General Hospital Done and Done

A very close 24% of voters are over it, just like they expect Ava to be. Nik cheated on her. And nobody cheats on Ava Jerome. She’s too cool. And she can do so much better. Nik was fine while they were locked in a battle of wills…or when he was catering to her every whim. Now that he is neither of those things, kick him to the curb and go live your best life, Ava!
