No One Puts General Hospital’s Felicia Scorpio In The Corner

What in the holy heck was Anna Devane thinking when she told Felicia Scorpio that she needed to stay behind during her General Hospital mission to rescue Maxie Jones from psychopath Peter August? Felicia is her daughter. Would Anna stand down if Robin Scorpio Drake needed rescuing? As Felicia said, this is not her first rodeo.

General Hospital Rescue Mission

And Anna (Finola Hughes) certainly knows that. After all, Felicia (Kristina Wagner) accompanied Anna, Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers), Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary), Laura Spencer — now Collins — (Genie Francis), Sean Donely (John Reilly), and her ex, Frisco Jones (Jack Wagner), now head of the WSB, on plenty of missions over the decades on various continents since she first appeared on the Port Charles scene in back in 1983.

She has survived amnesia (she believed she was a carnival worker named Phoebe), paralysis after an earthquake, and countless attempts on her life as the obsession of Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom), proving she could take on even the most dangerous of General Hospital foes.

She has been a private investigator, married to the former (and current again) police commissioner, Mac Scorpio (John J. York), and is literally an Aztec princess, so please…she can handle anything. She doesn’t need Anna to worry about keeping her safe. That was patronizing and offensive — and Anna should check herself.

There is no doubt Felicia will be pivotal in rescuing her daughter. That is who Felicia is — that same woman who was a rock when Maxie was facing death until she got a heart transplant from her own cousin, BJ Jones. No one will stop this mama lioness from saving her cub! This is the Felicia we know and love — whose reputation was unfortunately dragged through the mud as a deadbeat because the actress wasn’t currently on General Hospital. But she’s here now — and neither wild horses, Peter, nor even Anna Devane — will stop her from being there for Maxie — and we can’t wait.
