Although Alley Mills has made the General Hospital character, Heather Webber, her own, its original portrayer is still beloved by the fans and keeps in touch with them through social media. Robin Mattson originated the part in 1980, playing the demented villainess for decades. Now retired, she often shares what she’s been up to, and is truly enjoying life.
Her Summer Has Been Pleasant
Fans were concerned in 2022 when Mattson had knee surgery, but she came out swimmingly on the other side. Recently, Mattson shared a photo on Instagram of her and friends at the Inn of the Seventh Ray, a Los Angeles restaurant whose official Instagram page description boasts, “L.A’s Most Romantic Restaurant and Wedding Space. Est 1975.” She captioned the photo with, “I hope you’re all having a wonderful summer, filled with new discoveries !🌞.” (Learn how Heather had been retconned!)
Los Angeles was experiencing 90-degree heat that day, so she talked about the weather situation, continuing, “I definitely believe in climate change, and we’ve certainly had a glimpse of it with more to come, I’m sure. Stay cool, dry, and safe from tornadoes whenever possible 😁.”
Fans Still Long for Her GH Return
The temps in LA the previous weekend were also in the 90s, so she finished her caption with, “Last weekend, despite the heat, we braved the weather and had a chance to chill out with our closest friends at the @innoftheseventhray in Topanga Canyon.” One fan who had also been there lovingly responded, “Wishing you a happy summer as well, Robin. They have some amazing food at the Inn of the Seventh Ray. 😋❤️.”
Many of her followers wished she was still on GH, sending their heartfelt love for the soap legend. Mills had previously shared her respect for Mattson, and while fans are enjoying her iteration of Heather, they were very happy to see that Mattson’s doing great, living her life!
