GH Star Nicholas Alexander Chavez Addresses Pressure To Look Fit

It isn’t just women on daytime soaps who can feel the pressure for their bodies to look their best. After all, the powers that be continue to have men constantly taking off their shirts. Not everyone is buying into it, and General Hospital star Nicholas Alexander Chavez is one of them, and what he has to say about it makes this already amazing young actor even more impressive.

Nicholas Alexander Chavez: True Understanding

The subject came up during a General Hospital Fantasy Events Zoom a while ago.
One participant, Thane, had a question about whether or not Chavez felt pressure to look good shirtless, and if so, how does he do so. The young actor took a few beats to think about it, and his answer proved he’s wise beyond his years.

“I think I feel most pressured to be as honest as possible, whatever that means,” he replied. “So some days that looks like I’ve been eating pizza too much for the last three weeks,” he laughed, adding, “So I don’t look as fit as I normally do; sometimes it means I’m going to the gym.

“Honestly, I don’t even think about it too much, but I try to, you know, come as I am,” he continued. “Whatever I happen to look like, however my body looks that day is however it looks, and I’m just being okay with that.

“I know that people are obviously going to be watching it. I’ve made a big effort to work with acting coaches and things like that in order to make interesting decisions about the relationships that are happening on screen, and I would hope that they would be paying more attention to that than what I look like.”
