It has been a while since Shiloh wreaked such havoc on General Hospital with his cult Dawn of Day. He was finally killed by a flare shot by Sam as she defended Jason’s life. But his portrayer, Coby Ryan McLaughlin, has plenty of reason to celebrate.
Happy Birthday, Coby Ryan McLaughlin
That’s because he was born on May 17, which means today is his birthday! While the handsome actor hails from Woodland Hills and currently lives in Los Angeles, he attended school on the other coast, attending Downingtown Senior High School and Pennsylvania State University.
One of his first jobs in show business came in 1999 when he played Young Agent on the beloved TV series The X-Files. From there, he played Todd on several episodes of the series Undressed.
McLaughlin also did some primetime guest spots on shows like Bones, Shark, Two and a Half Men, Back to You, The Game, Eli Stone, Brothers, CSI: NY, Mike & Molly, as well as a seven-episode arc on Women’s Murder Club. He appeared on six episodes of Graceland as Detective Archie Garrett and just as many as Chris Jeffries on Parenthood.
He also had roles on many more primetime shows but scored his first soap role as Andrew Lynford on The Young and the Restless in 2018 before landing the role of Shiloh, which he played until the fall of 2019.
Since then, the actor has guest-starred on series like Hawaii Five-0, Raven’s Home, and a very memorable turn as a very obnoxious COVID-19 denier on Grey’s Anatomy, who paid the ultimate price for his disbelief in science. He also appeared in the made-for-TV movie The Nanny Murders with fellow GH star Scarlett Fernandez (Charlotte).
Soap Hub wishes Coby Ryan McLaughlin the happiest of birthdays.
