Lying crumpled at the bottom of a General Hospital stairwell, villain wannabe Peter sure seems dead. But is he mostly dead? Really most sincerely dead? Soap opera dead? What almost 3,000 viewers think is going on between heaven and hell:
General Hospital Polling: Back to Before
A majority 59% of the audience isn’t buying it for a minute. You are convinced that Peter (Wes Ramsey) will come back, sooner rather than later. He and Maxie (Kirsten Storms) still have quite a bit of unfinished business, namely their relationship – and their “missing” baby girl. This story feels like it’s smack in the middle – nowhere near the end. And it’s dead in the water if Peter is dead in the stairwell.
Medical Opinion
A smaller 23% of you are feeling much more convinced about Peter shuffling off his mortal coil, mainly because Finn (Michael Easton) and Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) checked. And they’re a doctor and a nurse. If they don’t know a corpse when they see one, who would?
Most back-from-the-dead soap characters are just “presumed dead,” after a plane or car crash or mountain avalanche… far away. The body is never found. Until it comes striding back into its own funeral – or a loved one’s wedding. (Stay tuned for a variation of that, Sonny-style!) Here, we’ve got a body, and we’ve got medical professionals certifying it. We believe!
Little Time Left
Finally, 18% don’t think it makes much of a difference. Peter is either dead or if he’s not, the minute he shows his face again in Port Charles, he will be. Maxie blowing him away would be super-satisfying. But we’ll take Anna (Finola Hughes), Liesl (Kathleen Gati), Mac (John J. York), we’re pretty open. Just as long as Peter is finally done with for good. What we’re saying is, he’s as good as dead… to us. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
