Kristen Alderson Reflects On ‘Dream’ Gift From One Life to Live Fans

Kristen Alderson was getting a bit nostalgic this weekend and took to social media to share something One Life to Live fans would certainly enjoy.

The Daytime Emmy-winning actress, who played Starr Manning on One Life to Live and later General Hospital, took to Instagram to relive a fond memory.

“Came across an old One Life to Live script from when Starr & Cole were talking about running away together for the last time,” Alderson wrote, sharing a photo of the script in hand. “Because of this scene, fans sent Brandon Buddy & I a dollhouse that exactly fit their dream home.”

That dollhouse can be seen in the photo as well, and it’s obvious it meant a lot to her since she still owns it today.

“It even has a backyard, a swing set, and a Starr, Cole, & Hope doll😭💙,” she continued. “I know you ‘Sole’ fans are out there who sent this. Just know how appreciative I am, and that I still have the house and always will.”

When OLTL was canceled, Alderson joined actors Roger Howarth (ex-Todd Manning) and Michael Easton (ex-John McBain) as those who would make the move to Port Charles, but when the show lost the rights to their characters, the trio was given new characters to play, so the actress switched from playing Starr to Kiki Jerome.

Alderson’s most recent IMDb credit was for Mélange, a Logo TV series that premiered last May. The show looked at the events after the founder of the historic gay bar Mélange mysteriously and suddenly dies, and his young protégé (Alderson) and estranged hotel mogul ex-wife (Morgan Fairchild) battle for control of the legendary bar. Omar Sharif, Jr. and soap veteran Robert Newman (ex-Josh, Guiding Light) also starred.

The actress also took to Twitter this weekend to wish her former on-screen mom, Kassie DePaiva, a happy birthday, posting a photo of the two of them from their time on One Life to Live together.

“!! Love this picture of us on set years ago,” Alderson wrote. “Missing you & the other world we got to live in together.”

While Kiki met her demise on GH at the hands of Ryan Chamberlain (though with actress Hayley Erin in the role at the time), fans would love to see Starr re-appear on the show, especially since most fans think Cole and their daughter Hope are still alive (or at least haven’t given up ‘hope’ on that).

Considering she still has this “dream house,” Alderson seems to want it too! General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
