Peter seems to have gone all the way over to the dark side on General Hospital. Which is as good of a reason as any for Maxie to pack up his clothes and throw him out of the home they shared (though we do applaud that she also changed the locks).
Peter (Wes Ramsey), however, comes from a long line of obsessives. Obsessives whose love can turn to murder on a dime. Is Maxie’s life in danger from her baby’s father? What almost 4,000 viewers told us:
Faison (Anders Hove) has killed many people. Alex (Finola Hughes) has killed some people. Peter has killed… enough people. Which is why 57% of you absolutely believe he’ll come after Maxie (Kirsten Storms) next.
He doesn’t love her. He loved how she made him feel about himself. And now that she no longer sees him the way Peter is desperate to be seen – poor, misunderstood, loving husband and father to be, rather than selfish, unhinged psycho – Maxie needs to be removed from the picture.
A smaller 27% of the audience thinks that if Maxie rejects Peter and cuts him out of their baby girl’s life, then he will definitely go to a dark, dark place. And, in that dark, dark place, it makes perfect sense that Maxie is the one thing keeping him from true family happiness. So Maxie needs to be removed from the picture.
Only 16% believe that Peter is so obsessed with Maxie that he could never hurt her. His fantasy of a future hinges entirely on the life he and Maxie planned together. He may keep her prisoner. He may try to control every word she says and even every thought she thinks. But he won’t kill her. He needs her to keep his dreams alive. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC.
