How Will General Hospital’s Spencer Cassadine Survive Now?

General Hospital’s Spencer Cassadine is used to a life of luxury. He grew up in a castle with an indulgent father who would rather buy Spencer stuff – and overlook him fixing elections – than actually parent.

While Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) was presumed dead, Grandma Laura Collins (Genie Francis) sent Spencer (Alexander Nicholas Chavez) to a fancy, European boarding school – and gave him enough money to run away whenever he felt like it.

The point is, the boy is spoiled rotten with no practical life skills (well, except that election-fixing thing). Now that he’s been cut off from all that precious Cassadine money, how will he possibly survive?

I Get By With a Little Help From My General Hospital Friends

Mooching off people is an option. Even if Daddy and Grandma aren’t playing anymore, we’re pretty confident Spencer can make goo-goo eyes at somebody and get himself some room and board. Uncle Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) comes to mind. He loves acquiring other people’s children – see: Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), Avery…well, you get the idea.

Uncle Sonny might even be able to put the boy to work. Considering how often his mooks are overpowered, there’s got to be an opening in the mob security division, no?

General Hospital: Those Who Can’t Do, Teach

Spencer may have no skills, but he does have a fancy education from a fancy school. He can do what everybody else with no skills but a fancy education does: He can tutor other young people to get into fancy schools so they can get a fancy education and no skills…which they will then turn into tutoring other young people and…so it goes.

Sugar Mama

Get a woman to support him. We’re not talking full-time gigolo. But a nice, lonely lady who is willing to shower a young man with gifts in exchange for some attention could certainly get a fallen prince through a hard time.
