Jasper “Jax” Jacks has been concerned that his daughter Josslyn Jacks could be harmed by Carly Corinthos’s connection to the mob on General Hospital. His fears may be well-founded as Joss has recently shown in her scenes with Esme Prince just how comfortable she is in the mob world. Joss’s portrayer, Eden McCoy, shared her opinion on it.
Eden McCoy Taps Into Josslyn’s Dark Side
During a GH Fantasy Events fan gathering held via Zoom, McCoy (Josslyn) and TV mom Laura Wright (Carly) thoughtfully answered burning questions from attendees all of whom are devout GH fans. One viewer queried the young star about Joss playing the “mob family” card with Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl), who keeps pushing boundaries as “Spence’s” (Nicholas Chavez Alexander) girlfriend.
“It was something along the lines of ‘where I come from, you don’t mess with my family,'” McCoy shared during the Zoom event. The actress says she’s been waiting for Josslyn to explore this side of her character. “It was great.”

Understandably, McCoy says that Joss has mixed feelings about the whole business side of Sonny and Carly’s world. (And, no, she’s not referring to the “coffee emporium.”) “I know my character has spoken negatively of the business, but anytime [Joss] can use it to be in a position of power, then it’s something fun for me to do. I did pull the mobster card there. Hopefully, I’ll do that more.”
How Jax Can Hurt Joss
There’s also the issue of Jax (Ingo Rademacher) knowing Sonny was alive and, instead of sharing the news himself, he agreed to let Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) be the one to tell him. (Well, at least, that was the plan.) “In all our scenes, he’s the perfect, supportive dad,” Eden McCoy says of her TV pop. “That’s all I see. Joss would be stunned and feel betrayed [if she found out] because he protects her so much.”
