There’s a new drug lord in Port Charles. He’s cool, calm, and calculatingly evil. Since arriving on the scene Jeff Kober’s Cyrus Renault has emerged as the most lethal villain on General Hospital in decades.

General Hospital: Criminal Mind

It’s not just Cyrus’s heinous acts that make him so dangerous. It’s the fact that he carries them out so matter-of-factly. He has no regard for the collateral damage, nor any remorse for the lives he destroys along the way. Nothing sways or deters him from steamrolling down his path to taking over Port Charles.

Family Ties
Using his enemy’s teenage daughter and her unsuspecting pal? No problem. Such was the case when Cyrus kidnapped Trina (Sydney Mikayla) and Cameron (William Lipton) to lure out Taggert (Réal Andrews), so he could have his henchman shoot and kill him. Now, having heard that Taggert’s still alive, Cyrus is going the same route again, using Trina to lead him to her dear old dad, so he can finish him off once and for all.

Elimination Game
So far, he’s tried to take out Jason (Steve Burton), twice. First, by tampering with his motorcycle to arrange a fatal accident. But never say die Jason survived. Then, he tried to kill him again by planting a bomb at The Floating Rib, but Jason ended up called away from the scene before it ever exploded, sparing both his life and his son Danny’s.

Bombs Away
Speaking of that bomb, it claimed the lives of two innocent bystanders: Dev (Ashton Arbab), a young vibrant teenager, and Dustin (Mark Lawson), a high school teacher and bona fide good guy. Plus, Lulu (Emme Rylan) is now in a coma courtesy of Cyrus’s dastardly plot, leaving her two children motherless.

With Friends Like These
Being “friends” with Cyrus has proven deadly, too. The spiraling Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) found herself easy prey for the drug lord when he reached out to her in a particularly vulnerable moment. Then he used her as a human guinea pig, giving her a dose of a new drug mix he was selling on the street. Only it proved to be practically lethal, and she had a heart attack and nearly died.

Taking Him Down
With Jordan (Briana Nicole Henry), Curtis (Donnell Turner), Laura (Genie Francis), and Sonny (Maurice Benard) and company working together to bring him down, Cyrus’s days are surely numbered. But, so far, they’ve found their mutual adversary a formidable foe, who’s done irreparable damage to the town and citizens they love. Can anyone take him down? Stay tuned.
