General Hospital’s Sonny and Ava have been at odds since they had sex in a crypt. Well, it actually started before that. But it’s just fun to remember them having sex. In a crypt.

Sonny (Maurice Benard) hated Ava (Maura West) for sleeping with his son, Morgan. Then he hated that Ava was pregnant with Sonny’s child. So, Sonny and Carly (Laura Wright) sued for and won custody of Avery, and made sure Ava had as little access to her child as possible. Because Avery was in danger as long as she lived under a mobster’s roof. No, not Sonny’s roof, silly. Sonny is a good mobster. We mean Ava’s roof. She’s the daughter and sister of a mobster. So, you know, it’s too dangerous for Avery.
But now Sonny and Ava seem to have found a common language and are actually getting along – somewhat. Are fans pleased with this development? We heard from over 2,000 to find out!

For The Sake of Avery
A winning 66% of General Hospital fans are happy – for Avery. Sonny’s kids are all used to growing up in a war-zone. But the violence should come from Michael (Chad Duell) being shot in the head, and Sonny shooting Carly in the head while she’s giving birth to Morgan – not from Mommy and Daddy constantly fighting.
Short Term
You’re OK with it, 31% shrug, but you don’t expect it to last. Ava will do something Sonny considers unacceptable, and he’ll turn on her with the yelling and the throwing of the barware. Enjoy it while it lasts. Because it won’t.
Go To the Mattresses
Only 3% enjoy the hate. It’s passionate. It’s witty. It’s not dull. Sonny and Ava playing nice isn’t exactly Must-See-TV. It may be good for Avery, maybe it’s even good for society at large.
