General Hospital’s Sonny Corinthos is the baddest mobster who ever badded. Other mobsters tremble in their boots when they merely think of Sonny coming to get them, much less see him coming. On the other hand, Sonny Corinthos is also the goodest mobster who ever gooded. He donates to hospitals. He takes in lost street kids. He is kind to animals (if not glassware).
General Hospital Polling
As such, Sonny (Maurice Benard) never, ever gets mob hands mob dirty. He has flunkies for that. Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) was his favorite. But with Jason presumed dead, Sonny needs a new little helper elf. Who should that be? What over 2,000 viewers told us:
GH: Just Another Brick in the Wall
Brick (Stephan S. Smith) has been Sonny’s gopher for several years now, running errands which ranged from cyber-stalking to blowing stuff up. He’s been loyal and, most importantly, he’s been quiet — never suggesting that Sonny might be wrong about anything.
That kind of tongue biting deserves a promotion, 61% of you decree. Besides, when his mother named him Brick, she was obviously setting him up for a life of crime (or a role in a Tennessee Williams play).
General Hospital: Stella’s Stanley
Speaking of Tennessee Williams’ plays, Brando (Johnny Wactor) is presumably named after the guy who yelled, “Stella!!!!” in A Streetcar Named Desire. And 35% of the GH’s audience would like to see that namesake take on the role Jason abandoned. Brando’s qualifications include being a Sonny fan and…well, do you need any more? He’s also a relative. Isn’t the mob all about family?
GH: Howdy Ho
Only 4% voted for Homicidal Harmony to assume the mantle. She’s demonstrated her willingness to get her hands dirty. Plus, she just tried to kill Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright). Wouldn’t Sonny like some plausible deniability if his ex-wife were to mysteriously disappear?
