GH’s Tristan Rogers Reveals What The Holidays Mean To Him

For more than 40 years, Tristan Rogers has thrilled daytime fans as Robert Scorpio on General Hospital. Soap Hub caught up with the Aussie native to find out what the Christmas holidays mean to him and his family.

Tristan Rogers On Holiday Traditions

“When I moved here [United States] traditions weren’t as important to me,” the fan-favorite explained. “When I started my family and the kids were young, we went all out for Christmas. Decorations, Dinners, lots of presents…. Now that they are working and have significant others, we enjoy them during the holidays when time allows. I look forward to my family and spending time with friends as well.”

And his favorite part of the holiday season? “I look forward to enjoying great food and enjoying the holiday parties!” But Rogers has been too busy as of late and hasn’t thought about any New Year’s intentions. “No resolutions yet but I’m sure something will come up.”

Since December 2, 1980, Tristan Rogers has portrayed the heroic character of Robert Scorpio. Whether he was on a secret mission with Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary), clashing with his brother Mac Scorpio (John J. York), romancing Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Holly Sutton (Emma Samms), or giving fatherly advice to his daughter, Robin Scorpio Drake (Kimberly McCullough), the dashing WSB Agent and international spy delighted General Hospital fans everywhere.

With Victor Cassidine (Charles Shaughnessy) back in Port Charles, there promises to be even more drama and intrigue that needs Scorpio’s magic touch. Seeing more of Scorpio in Port Charles would be at the top of Soap Hub’s list for 2022. We wish Tristan Rogers and his family a lovely holiday!
