General Hospital’s Kristina Wagner, beloved for decades as Felicia Scorpio, has long been an advocate for helping the environment and she wants people to know that they can make a difference.
Kristina Wagner Pleads For Change
On her Instagram account, the actress posted a photo of herself at the beach and added some encouraging and powerful words to those looking to bring about change. “The claim that runaway climate change has made societal collapse inevitable is not only wrong – its pessimism undermines the climate movement,” she said. “We CAN make changes to avert disaster.”
Kristina Wagner encourages the importance of people doing their part and making a difference, not just relying on things to change by themselves overnight or just doing the small things that they’ve been doing already. “Life style changes are necessary but they alone will not get us where we need to be,” she said. “Recycling the plastic we use is a good idea, though it is promoted by the companies that make plastic to make us think disposal is up to us. The problem is plastic, not us. We need to make companies stop producing it.”
One way Kristina Wagner is doing her part to help the environment is by opting for a healthier diet for herself and the planet. And while she is championing that others make changes, she is not looking to place blame on those who aren’t. But she does feel more discussion and cooperation to make the world a better place is good for all.

“I don’t eat meat and I do other things to reduce my carbon footprint but I don’t think it’s helpful to shame others for not doing it,” she wrote. “The idea is to help everybody to move that direction and to work together to change policies so we can use less carbon. That is what system change is.”
We haven’t seen much of Felicia Scorpio on-screen lately as she left Port Charles to help a loved one in Texas, though she did pop up to honor Sean Donely in an onscreen tribute to the late actor — and her longtime co-star, John Reilly. Felicia’s been spending some much-needed bonding time with daughter Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms). But Maxie’s expected back in town soon, so will Felicia follow suit? Fans would love nothing more.
