GH Spoilers Recap for Jan. 27: Valentin Finally Realizes The Truth

The GH spoilers recap for Thursday, January 27, 2022, features Valentin Cassadine putting the pieces together, Esme Prince striking out against her foes, and Sonny Corinthos imparting some sage advice.

GH Spoilers Recap Highlights

A mother would do anything to protect her child from a whispering evil, up to and including handing her off to another woman to raise. After nearly a year, Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) came to that same conclusion…but believe it or not, he’s still not 100-percent sure.

So, after talking it all out with a befuddled Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight), it was off to interrogate Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson), whom you might remember is Valentin’s former landlady; she’s the one with a house left to her by a man named Alan.

Monica confirms that Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) was always mothering Bailey much to her displeasure, and her possible-boyfriend Yuri (Cyrus Hobbi) recalled that Maxie and Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) were frequently huddled together, sometimes in the presence of Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) – were they though?

Then, just to make double…triple sure that he’s not barking up the wrong tree, Valentin went and requested Bailey’s hospital records – a move overheard by evil Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy). He’s the one planning on kidnapping “Louiley” and handing her over to the equally evil Peter August (Wes Ramsey) AKA He Who Whispers, and Victor happened to have spilled the entire truth to about Bailey being Louise to Peter.

General Hospital Recap: Honestly Speaking

She may be a schemer, but Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) has got a point about Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) being a bad friend to Trina Robinson (Syndey Mikayla). She did break GirlCode. It’s just a shame it took Esme spiking hot toddies to get Trina to speak her truth.

GH Spoilers Recap: A Helping Hand

Just when it seemed like Sonny (Maurice Benard) would walk out of the hospital before receiving treatment, in walked a grieving Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor), and Sonny knew that he had to get himself back on track in order to help his loved ones. Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) said as much, but it’s better if the idea comes from Sonny himself.

Meanwhile, Maxie figured out the best way to keep a well-meaning Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) silent: kiss him! But did the move awaken something in Maxie?
