The week of October 24, 2022
After months of talking about Elizabeth Webber Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) parents, they’re finally going to materialize later this month. William Moses has been cast as Jeff Webber, Elizabeth’s father. Moses starred in the film Mystic Pizza and also appeared on Falcon Crest as Cole Gioberti and in How to Get Away with Murder as Special Agent Lanford. The role of Jeff was originally played by Richard Dean Anderson from 1976 to 1981.
Meanwhile, Elizabeth’s mother, Carolyn, will be played by Denise Crosby. The actress is best known for her role as Lieutenant Tasha Yar on Star Trek: The Next Generation, Faye Richardson on Suits, and Deb on Ray Donovan. The character has never appeared on the show before.
General Hospital History
GH made its debut in 1963 and was created by the husband and wife team of Frank and Doris Hursley, taking place at a hospital in an unnamed city. In fact, the setting wasn’t named Port Charles until the 1970s. General Hospital is the longest-running soap opera currently on air.
From legendary Laura’s (Genie Francis) four decades on and off and back on as the show’s leading heroine, to Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) exploits, to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and his mobster activities, GH certainly knows how to please their viewers.
