Big news for Emma Samms fans. The actress is set to resurrect her popular character, Holly Sutton, this week. She’ll be back for a story arc beginning Thursday, October 20. Holly had been presumed dead back in the fall of 2020. Samms was supposed to return to the soap earlier but had been battling Long COVID.
Max Faughno’s run as Oz Haggerty has wrapped up. The shady stranger was the latest victim of the hook serial killer.
In addition, daytime veteran Linda Purl has completed her short-term stint as Peyton Honeycutt. The character interacted with Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright), during her trip to Florida.

General Hospital History
GH made its debut in 1963 and was created by the husband and wife team of Frank and Doris Hursley, taking place at a hospital in an unnamed city. In fact, the setting wasn’t named Port Charles until the 1970s. General Hospital is the longest-running soap opera currently on air.
From legendary Laura’s (Genie Francis) four decades on and off and back on as the show’s leading heroine, to Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) exploits, to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and his mobster activities, GH certainly knows how to please their viewers.
