General Hospital star Tajh Bellow has had a rough 2021 so far, as he announced recently that his mom had undergone an emergency appendectomy and was in the hospital. The actor took to social media to update fans on her condition and thank those who sent best wishes.
Good News For Tajh Bellow
“Thank you, everyone, for your continued prayers, thoughts, positivity, and uplifting!” he said on Twitter. “Mom was discharged from the hospital yesterday, and is now recovering from home!!”
This is a strong contrast from what he was feeling just a week ago when he originally used Twitter to talk about his mom’s surgery.
“It was sudden, it was unexpected, and it’s been very bad for her,” he said in a video he posted on Twitter at the time. “She’s been suffering a lot, and she’s having terrible medical complications.”
Bellow asked fans at that time to help lift up his mom’s spirits and think positive, saying he knows there are more important things going on in the world that people need support for, but he would appreciate any good vibes coming his and his mom’s way.
“I’m here to ask for prayer, positive vibes, good thoughts, good intentions,” he said at the time. “If you guys could just spare a moment and send her that love, it would be very appreciated.”
His fans responded in droves, flooding his Twitter with good wishes for a speedy recovery. “I am filled with joy and gratitude; thank you so so much for taking a moment for us we TRULY felt all of the love!” he said.
On GH, his character may be starting to get a little closer to his on-screen mom as well, as TJ allowed Jordan (Briana Nicole Henry) to drive him to his recent commitment ceremony with Molly (Haley Pullos) when he was running late and couldn’t get a rideshare. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
