When he isn’t dodging bad guys and rescuing ladies in distress as Jason Morgon on General Hospital, Steve Burton is wowing audiences nationwide with a little bit of rock and roll and comedy as Stone Cold and the Jackal, along with castmate Bradford Anderson (Damian Spinelli). However, the current tour came to a screeching halt this week when Burton announced he has tested positive for Covid-19.
The General Hospital fan fave took to social media to get the message out to all the fans who were planning on seeing the duo for the August tour dates. “I am really bummed we can’t see you guys!” Burton added, “Thank you for your patience. New dates will come out next week.”
Coastal Talent NYC issued an official statement to ticket holders: “We are very sorry to say that the Stone Cold and Jackal shows will need to be rescheduled. All tickets will be transferred to new dates which will be announced next week. @1steveburton has just tested positive for Covid. He was exposed at work last week and took a test Wednesday which was negative, however in an abundance of caution before flying out to do the tour, he took another test this morning to be safe and tested positive. He is fine and currently has no symptoms.
“We are working actively to secure another date,” they continued, “for the tour but we ask that you kindly bear with us as we navigate a very difficult situation.” Coastal Talent vowed to fans, “Once a new date is announced, you’ll be notified by email. We are sorry for any inconvenience.”
Burton is not currently showing any symptoms but is erring on the side of caution for safety reasons. Soap Hub extends our best wishes for a healthy outcome. Stay tuned for more news on the tour as the information becomes available.
