Fans have adored Nancy Lee Grahn for decades as the General Hospital star can always be counted on for telling it like it is. She promises all of that in more is going into a new memoir the popular actress is currently penning.
The two-time Daytime Emmy Award-winning actress revealed the news on her official Facebook page, which was definitely well-received by her many fans and followers.
“Much to tell and most of it I can’t. But I am writing about it for hours at a time in my book. The good and the not so good. There are many times that I’ve had to hold my tongue, which as you can imagine is not an easy thing for me,” Grahn said, starting off the post. As many people know, the actress has often gotten in trouble for her candor, but that’s why so many love her so.
While she’s mostly known for playing Alexis on General Hospital, she has played two other roles in daytime — Beverly on One Life to Live and one of the most beloved soap roles for a woman ever — Julia Wainwright Capwell on Santa Barbara — in which she won her first Daytime Emmy — tying with Debbi Morgan for Outstanding Supporting Actress.

Grahn went on to say what she plans to cover in this memoir. “I will tell tales about the loves of my life, and the not so much ones. I will spell out the names of the many that unconditionally helped build Kate and me, and misspell with enough room for you to make good educated guesses the names of the very few who pissed me off.”
While that stuff will interest diehard Grahn fans, she will have plenty in there for those who like to know behind-the-scenes tidbits, told with her trademark humor. “I will not hold back about my soap journey and hopefully make you laugh at my tripping through most areas of my life to get to where I am now…still tripping through most areas of my life. It will be the whole truth and nothing but the truth… except for the parts that could get me sued.”
While she doesn’t say when we can expect to see this book, there is enough there to let us know we absolutely can’t wait until we do have it! General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
