General Hospital Star Maurice Benard’s New Flick Hits Theaters

If you can’t get enough of Sonny and Maurice Benard on the small screen, you can catch the General Hospital star on the big screen starring in the new movie Hold On.

According to IMDB, the film is about a singer who has never gotten her chance but decides to take that chance and try to make it big in a bid to save her Los Angeles inner-city brother from addiction.

She meets a music manager played by Benard who changes her life forever. The film has been in the works since 2017 and when the production was first announced, Benard described his character as one of the bad guys. Hold On also stars Micayla De Ette, Luis Guzman, Tarek Tohme, and Flavor Flav.

On General Hospital, Benard is still breaking our hearts in an emotional storyline that sees Sonny’s father, Mike, spiraling down due to Alzheimer’s. It seems Mike may be reaching the end stages of the disease.

Earlier this year, the actor premiered playing John Gotti in a biopic about the notorious New York mobster’s life told from the point of view of his daughter, Victoria.
