Daytime veteran Cynthia Watros, who for the past two years has steamed up General Hospital as Port Charles magazine editor Nina Reeves, is a big believer in relaxation and yoga — and there’s never been more of a need.

In fact, the Daytime Emmy-winning actress regularly posts on social media about the importance (as well as tips) of breathing, stretching, and all thing having to do with taking care of the mind and body. During the year where nothing was normal thanks to the coronavirus pandemic, it’s certainly been appreciated.
Now the actress is kicking it up a notch. This week, Watros posted about one of her favorite yoga places — one that’s in need of a little help. On Instagram, she posted a photo of Pasadena-based Yoga House, which is located at 11 West State Street.
“Yoga House is a small business in Pasadena that has been around since 1997 dedicated to bringing the community together through yoga and meditation,” she wrote. “They need our support right now, so please check them out and join the class that I am teaching over zoom.”
Watros will be teaching the class the next two Saturdays (March 13 and March 20) from 9 am to 10 am, and she notes the class is suitable “for yogis of all levels.”

“In these trying times, finding peace within ourselves and keeping a clear mind has never been more difficult,” she wrote. “That is why it is so important that we support each other and see the light in each other.”

“After receiving over 500 hours of advance teacher training, my goal is to make yoga accessible to everyone in our community,” she said.
One person who should probably take advantage of the class is Watros’s GH character, Nina. With all that she has going on in her life these days — such as learning her daughter was dead psycho Nelle and blowing it after meeting her grandson Wiley, is there anyone in Port Charles who could benefit from taking a breather more?
