The time has finally come for Finn (Michael Easton) to marry Anna (Finola Hughes) and for Maxie (Kirsten Storms) and Peter (Wes Ramsey) to also walk down the aisle. Except this isn’t an ordinary wedding — not when one bride knows the other groom is a killer whom she has enabled for way too long. Peter needs to be stopped before someone else gets hurt.

General Hospital History

GH made its debut in 1963 and is the second longest-running daytime soap opera in American history. The longest-running soap is Guiding Light. While it’s not the longest-running serial, General Hospital is the longest-running soap opera currently on air.

The daytime drama outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households! From legendary Laura’s (Genie Francis) four decades on and off and back on as the show’s leading heroine to Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) exploits to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and his mobster activities, GH certainly knows how to please their viewers.

More than five decades of gripping drama as well as love in the afternoon have kept this ABC daytime soap on the air and winning Daytime Emmys. It is one of four soap operas currently on the air.
