The General Hospital recaps for May 24-28, 2021, features Cyrus taking a major misstep, Jason and Britt taking a major plunge, and so much more.

General Hospital Recaps Highlight

At the hospital, Peter (Wes Ramsey) spies Brando (Johnny Wactor) and Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) ducking into the stairwell, and he reports the incident to Cyrus (Jeff Kober). The mob boss is incensed, as he sees the incident as confirmation that Brando is the father of Sasha’s baby.

Further complications arise when Cyrus learns that Gladys (Bonnie Burroughs) has approached authorities about recanting her testimony. He enlists Peter’s services, and the baddie heads off to collect the only witness to his murder of Franco (Roger Howarth).

Cyrus then requests Brando’s presence at the warehouse district, where he reveals that he has Gladys bound and gagged. Brando is presented with a gun, and a choice: kill his mother, or ensure Sasha’s and their unborn child’s untimely passing.

Brando takes the weapon, trains it on Gladys, then turns it on Cyrus. Unluckily for Brando, the weapon is unloaded. Cyrus warns Brando to prepare for his imminent demise, but intervention from Carly’s (Laura Wright) posse brings the proceedings to a bloody halt as Gladys takes a bullet.

Tender Is The Night

Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) is devastated to learn that she does indeed possess the genetic marker for Huntington’s Disease. Upon their return to the lighthouse, Britt and Jason (Steve Burton) make love.

Worlds Collide

Despite “Mike’s” (Maurice Benard) pleas to the contrary, Nina (Cynthia Watros) set off to meet Elijah (Dan White), with the express purpose of keeping the villain occupied while “Mike” conducted a search of his house.

Officer Finchley spoiled that plan, and he refused to given any credence to “Mike’s” theories concerning Elijah, or his fear for Nina’s safety. Lenny (Rif Hutton) arranges a distraction to keep Officer Finchley occupied, and “Mike” rushes off to find Nina.

He manages to rescue her from Elijah’s clutches, and the two of them delight in his subsequent arrest. A celebratory “Mike” pulled Nina in for a kiss…and Nina took flight in response.

Escape Route

After becoming painfully aware of the current circumstance, Maxie (Kirsten Storms) fought back against “Nurse Chloe” (Kimberly J. Brown) and wound up making it safely out of the house that she was being held in.

She was chanced upon by Austin (Roger Howarth), a nature lover with a medical degree, and he coached her through her labor. “Nurse Chloe” caught up with the two, and stunned Austin with a blow to the head.

She then gave chase to Maxie, who leads her to a mine shaft built into the forest floor. “Nurse Chloe” plunges through the rotted wood covering, and Maxie uses the villainess’s discarded phone to place an SOS call to Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton).

Guest Relations

After Chase (Josh Swickard) insists on being released from the hospital, Michael (Chad Duell) and Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) take it upon themselves to invite him to temporarily reside at the Quatermaine home.

Chase manages to make it through the mansion’s front door and into the drawing-room, but mere hours later, his condition takes a turn for the worse, and he is forced to return to GH.

While outside Chase’s room, Willow spies Finn (Michael Easton) and Anna (Finola Hughes) engaged in conspiratorial conversation, and she demands an explanation from the good doctor.

Confrontation Station

Cyrus manages to get his hands on Spinelli (Bradford Anderson), whom he uses as a bargaining chip. He promises to return the hacker extraordinaire to Carly if she returns Gladys, who is in surgery, to him.

A meeting between the warring factions ends in bloodshed – thanks in part to Nikolas’s (Marcus Coloma) unwelcome intrusion and Jason’s sudden appearance.

An injured Cyrus, who’d managed to avoid detection by either Jason or the PCPD, made his way to Portia Robinson’s (Brook Kerr) abode, and upon the doctor’s return, he greeted her at the door, gun in hand. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
