The General Hospital recap for Thursday, August 8, 2020 features Cyrus making the rounds, Valentin making good on a promise, and Carly and Sam bonding.
Cyrus (Jeff Kober) visited Brando’s (Johnny Wactor) body shop, verbally sparred with Lulu (Emme Rylan) – revealing his intentions to meet with the hospital board in the process – and asked for a private word with the business’s proprietor.
Later, when Jason (Steve Burton) arrived in order to collect a much-needed part for his bike, Brando informed him that he had already completed the installation and he also discussed Cyrus and his visit.
Over at the Metro Court, Sam (Lindsay Hartley) THANKED Carly (Laura Wright) for agreeing to serve as Jason’s medical proxy. The two women went on to bond over their devotion to their children and Sam admitted that she wishes she had never involved herself in Shiloh’s (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) downfall.
She also told Carly all about her and Spinelli’s (Bradford Anderson) failed coup against Delores the parole officer. Carly in turn promised to be there for Sam, her children, and Jason.
Sam thanked for her kindness but both agreed that they hoped nothing untoward ever happened to Jason…right as he suffered a devastating motorcycle accident! Might Brando have some explaining to do?
Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) presented the Deception Cosmetics board with his newest acquisition: BLQ, the artist formerly known as Brook Lynn Quartermaine, AKA the woman who was going to provide the brand with its signature sound.
Maxie (Kirsten Storms) said no. Brook Lynn (now temporarily played by Briana Lane) acted in her usual catty manner. And an apoplectic Lucy (Lynn Herring) did her best to smooth all the ruffled feathers. In the end, Maxie agreed to compromise. Brook Lynn could stay… but she wasn’t going to be happy about it. Especially if the wannabe songstress continued to insult Lulu.
In Switzerland, Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) dismissed his doctor’s opinion that he could be cured of his brainwashing. Instead, he insisted that he would always be too much of a risk.
Against her better judgment, Jordan (Briana Nicole Henry) answered Cyrus’ summons to his new abode. Once there, she tried to extract the reason he was so interested in GH, but Cyrus wasn’t in a sharing mood.
Instead, he was more interested in reminding the commissioner of police that she worked for him now. And, according to him, they would be spending a lot more time together. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
