The General Hospital recap for Thursday, December 26, 2019, features Sonny kinda sorta bonding with a distant cousin, trouble for Anna, and a Quartermaine relation returning home.
General Hospital Recap Highlights
Sonny (Maurice Benard) arrived at Turning Wood to find Mike (Max Gail) agitated and desperate to leave the facility. The Teflon Don was less than pleased to learn that Gladys (Bonnie Burroughs) had made plans to take him to the track and he managed to make the situation worse by bringing up Yvonne.
The mere mention of his “wife’s” name sent Mike into hysterics. Moments later, Marcus entered the home upsetting Mike further because he was the man who absconded with Yvonne.
Taking Sonny aside, Marcus explained that Yvonne had stopped eating and was currently in a hospital awaiting the insertion of a feeding tube. An eavesdropping Gladys told Marcus he was making a big mistake but her opinion was ignored.
Later, Gladys told Sonny how she had recently lost a good friend whose decision to stop eating was met with resistance from her family who made the same decision as Marcus. Gladys’ tale touched Sonny as it spoke to the trouble he has been having over whether or not to fore Mike into a medical trial overseas.
While You Were Out
Franco (Roger Howarth) was furious over his discovery that he slept with Kim (Tamara Braun) while living Drew’s life. Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) assured him that she understood the incident would never have happened if he had been in his right mind.
Naughty Nelle
Nelle (Chloe Lanier) nearly conned Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) into letting her hold Wiley but Michael (Chad Duell) managed to intervene. Charming as ever, Nelle invoked Jonah’s memory by asking Michael if he believed their son would have enjoyed Christmas.
A Mother’s Love
Finn (Michael Easton) was quick to deduce that Anna’s (Finola Hughes) investigation into Peter (Wes Ramsey) yielded less than positive results. She explained the connection between her (maybe) son and the gunman he shot and wondered if she should continue to pursue the truth. Finn cautioned that she wouldn’t be able to live with herself if Peter were to hurt someone else.
The pair also had to contend with poor Violet who wanted to know if Hayden was coming home for Christmas. Finn wondered if he’d soon have to tell Violet her mom is never returning.
(Not So) Welcome Home
Having spent the best part of her day flirting with Julian (William deVry), Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) wasn’t exactly prepared to deal with visitors once she returned to Monica’s.
So color her surprised when Granny – “You can call me Tracy” – Quartermaine came through the door, suitcase in hand. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
