The General Hospital recap for Monday, August 26 features a symbolic wedding, a medical diagnosis, two startling revelations, and a strange new woman making her presence known.
Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Carly’s (Laura Wright) friends and family arrived at Casa Corinthos for a very special vow renewal ceremony between the Mr. and Mrs. Each took ake the opportunity to speak from the heart before returning to the more traditional vows.
Later, the “bride” tossed her bouquet and it landed squarely in Bobbie’s (Jacklyn Zeman) hot little hands. To quote Sonny, “Somebody call Scott!” (Sam and Kristina did jump out of the way, however.)
At GH, Finn (Michael Easton) was stymied by Sasha’s (Sofia Mattsson) latest test results. She’s suffering from Avian flue and since she hadn’t been up close and personal with any birds, Finn concluded that someone purposefully exposed Sasha to the illness.
At that exact moment, Cassandra Pierce (Jessica Tuck) texted Nina (Cynthia Watros) the selfie she took with Michael and Sasha on their Puerto Rican vacation.
Hayden (Rebecca Budig) and Jax (Ingo Rademacher) met at Charlie’s to discuss the finer details of their plan and Jax surprised his partner in crime with his decision to ask Liesl for help getting into Helena’s trophy room. Hayden was adamant that they cant trust the twisted former doctor but Jax was sure Liesl would be an asset.
After all, they need to find Mikos Cassadine’s will and the special codicil contained within that strip Valentin of his Princely status and put the wealth back into the correct hands. Looks like Spencer Cassadine is about to be a very happy young man! (Or Nikolas?)
Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) dragged Diane (Carolyn Hennesy) along on an intense workout program and after she treated her to lunch at the Metro Court where they discussed Neil.
Unbeknownst to them, a workout instructor is very interested in Alexis, especially the hit and run case in which she was involved. Might abusive Topher have a sister or auntie whose out for revenge against the young man’s killer?
Chase (Josh Swickard) and Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) make a big leap forward in their budding relationship — she accepted his proposal to move in with him. But there’s no time for celebrating for the detective.
He had to interrupt Sonny and Carly’s post-ceremony bliss to inquire about Sony’s missing foreman — the recently fired, and threatened, Barry Ziegler. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
