General Hospital Recap: Saying Goodbye To Mike Corbin

The General Hospital recap for September 14-18, 2020, features the end of the road for Mike, the end of Olivia and Robert’s adventure, a new beginning for Ava and Nikolas,

General Hospital Recap Highlights

When Mike (Max Gail) was ultimately diagnosed with Alzheimer’s way back in 2018, it was obvious that there would be no happy ending. The illness robbed the man of his memories and his bodily functions, and it eventually contributed to his death.

The one silver lining of the disease was its ability to reunite long-estranged father and son and teach each of them the true value of forgiveness.

Odd Man Out

Speaking of forgiveness, Ned (Wally Kurth) could really use some right about now. Brook Lynn (Briana Lane) still won’t speak to him, and Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) won’t return his phone calls and he’s starting to feel the sting.

Alexis’ Trouble Compounds

At least he was able to offer Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) some much-needed assistance. As if she didn’t have enough on her plate, what with her latest love interest meeting his maker while cocooned in her bedspread, Alexis is now having to deal with the possibility that she might be suffering from osteoporosis.

Empty-Handed

Robert (Tristan Rogers) and Olivia were able to shut down a criminal enterprise operating in Monte Carlo but they left the principality under the assumption that Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) was dead. (We’ll chalk this one up as “you win some, you lose some.”)

She’s NOT by the way. Dead that is. But she is cooped up in a dreary looking holding cell…and she isn’t happy about.

GH Musings

Well folks, the dry spell is officially over. But what exactly does this mean for Ava (Maura West) and Nikolas (Marcus Coloma)? Could these two broken souls actually make their marriage work? Should they? And would they still be as much fun as happily marrieds as they are bitter marrieds?

Where were Spencer (Nicolas Bechtel) and Kristina (Lexi Ainsworth) and why weren’t they at Mike’s side during his final hours? The likes of Brando (Johnny Wactor) and Josslyn (Eden McCoy) were front and center but the man’s actual grandchildren couldn’t be involved?

Did anyone even bother to tell Kristina that Mike’s time was an end? Does she even know that her mother is mourning Neil’s loss? Do the writer even remember that Kristina exists? General Hospital airs weekdays on ANC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
