The General Hospital recap for Friday, September 4, 2020, features Alexis receiving some shocking news, Sam thinking the worst of Brando, Spinelli getting the goods on Peter, and Valentin agreeing to assist Anna.
Alexis’s (Nancy Lee Grahn) frazzled state behooved Finn (Michael Easton) to arrange an impromptu AA meeting. Once inside the makeshift safe space, they discussed Neil’s passing and Alexis wondered if there was anything she could have done to prevent it.
Jordan (Briana Nicole Henry) interrupted the pair and wanted a word with Alexis – alone. Alexis related Neil’s final hours to the commissioner, and Jordan in turn revealed Neil’s cause of death: drug overdose!
Following a chance run-in with Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) at the Metro Court, Anna (Finola Hughes) asked him for a favor. A big, big favor. A favor that would require him to leave his business interests, say goodbye to Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez), and travel with her to Berlin.
Valentin wasn’t exactly interested at the prospect…even if it did mean confronting Anna’s devious twin sister. But Anna was insistent. It was Valentin and Valentin alone who could help her bring Alex (Finola Hughes) to justice. So, the disgraced WSB agent acquiesced. But only on the proviso that Anna comes up with an actual plan of attack.
Though they were unable to save Brando (Johnny Wactor) from his attackers, Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Jason (Steve Burton) did manage to rush him to the hospital. Brando was placed in Portia’s (Brook Kerr) capable hands and his benefactors assessed the situation.
Sam wondered if the scene had been staged for Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) benefit. Jason wasn’t convinced. Following a tense exchange with Cyrus (Jeff Kober), he was sure that Brando was an innocent victim.
Back at the garage, Spinelli’s (Bradford Anderson) attempts to abscond with the hidden camera was stymied by Maxie (Kirsten Storms) and Peter’s (Wes Ramsey) arrival. When Maxie had to exit the scene to attend to business concerns, Spinelli took the opportunity to needle his rival.
Was there any truth to Nelle’s (Chloe Lanier) claim that Peter and Shiloh (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) were old friends? Peter said absolutely not. And he certainly didn’t kidnap Drew Cain (Billy Miller) from Afghanistan. Scandalous lies!
But then why did the aforementioned camera record Peter making a frantic phone call to Valentin concerning Nelle and her story? General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
