The General Hospital recap for Friday, October 25 features the closing day of Franco’s hearing, courtroom worries for Sam, a rude awakening for Ava, and a threat from Valentin.
Scotty (Kin Shriner) got Kim (Tamara Braun) to admit that she drugged the real Drew Cain and her attempt to rape him was stopped by another person’s intervention. The revelation deeply affected Franco (Roger Howarth) though he did comfort her when she was dismissed from the witness stand.
Franco was then called to testify. He recounted Drew’s memories of being in Turkey during July of 2010. Scotty countered that Franco (the body “Drew” is currently inhabiting) was busy committing murder in California at the exact same time.
How can a man who can’t recognize the fact that he was in two places at once be allowed to make decisions for himself? Finally, Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) — ostensibly a witness for Elizbeth’s (Rebecca Herbst) camp — was called to the stand.
However, rather than bolster Scotty’s case, Kevin instead deemed Franco mentally competent and capable of accepting or refusing his own medical treatments. The judge recessed the trial to make her decision later called the interested parties back inside to render her decision.
Jason (Steve Burton) and Diane (Carolyn Hennesy) paid Sam (Kelly Monaco) a visit at Pentonville and quickly realized that Ms, McCall wasn’t doing so hot. She missed her children and was absolutely scared to death over the inevitable return of her cellmate, who’s in solitary for stabbing her last roomie in the eyeball.
Diane warned that a jury trial could take months but she offered up an alternative: play the whole trial out in front of a judge and let him/her decide Sam’s fate. Jason wasn’t sure that was such a good option but when Diane said she could make it happen in just a few days Sam jumped at it.
Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) was angered when Nina (Cynthia Watros) received a bottle of expensive champagne and a note from Spencer congratulating her on finally “finally kicking that unscrupulous malefactor to the curb.”
When he ran into Laura (Genie Francis) he warned her to put a leash on her grandson least he, “…deal with him the way I deal with threats.” General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
