The General Hospital recap for Monday, July 12, 2021, features Jason Morgan getting a front-row seat to Britt Westbourne’s breakdown, Dr. Austin failing to make a good first impression on Carly Corinthos, and Maxie Jones and Brook Lynn Quartermaine debating the merits of calling their scheme quits.
Ladies and gentlemen, he’s still got it. Despite spending only one passion-filled night with Jason (Steve Burton), Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) can’t get the man out of her head or her heart. And Jason feels real about that, and he’s super angry at Carly for being so callous where Britt’s feelings are concerned.
Not sorry enough that he gave Carly the scolding that she so richly deserves, but sorry enough that he shot her his, “I’m very disappointed in you face,” and then took off for a private chat with Britt…whom he caught crying on mutter Liesl’s (Kathleen Gati) shoulder.
Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) would love to court Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr), and Portia Robinson would love to be courted – but not at the expense of ruining the lovely friendship that she and Curtis have cultivated. She will, however, consider going the whole hog and dating her former lover.
Conversely, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) aren’t exactly sure what they want from one another – romance, friendship, a crime-busting cop/P.I. partnership – but they both agree that they have other pressing matters to attend to. She’s got a mother who may or may not be going back to prison; he’s got a never seen/never discussed kid to raise. Priorities, you know?
Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore) might not be a free man just yet, but the holding cell at the PCPD is a step-up from his abode at Pentonville. But mark his words, if he is granted freedom, he’ll find exactly who it was who committed the crime for which he played patsy.
Dr. Austin (Roger Howarth) made quite the point of grilling Carly on the important people to know in Port Charles – and he immediately raised her suspicions, especially since he seemed to already know the big players in town he was supposedly questioning her about.
Maxie (Kristen Storms) is reaching her breaking point. Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) suggested her frenemy just collect Louise and reveal the whole charade to Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and the other Quartermaines, but Maxie decided that what would be best for all – especially Louise – is her taking a long breather somewhere far away from PC.
