The General Hospital recap for Thursday, January 28, 2021, features Alexis getting stabby, Nina demanding an explanation, and Sonny and Curtis receiving ultimatums.
While Franco (Roger Howarth), Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst), and Sam (Kelly Monaco) argued in a hallway at GH, Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) retired to an exam room and took a few nips from a mini bottle of vodka.
Sam demanded to know what steps Franco had taken to ensure her and her children’s safety, and he admitted to arranging for his own death. And while Sam took a moment to process the information, Franco was suddenly overcome by Peter’s (Wes Ramey) voice inside his head.
He crumpled to the ground, screaming out for the phantom speaker to be quiet. Alexis in turn, fearing for Sam’s safety, filled a discarded syringe with a drug, and made a threatening move against the suffering man.
Dante “I must complete the mission” Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) stepped in to assist and wound up taking the needle to the chest. He collapsed, unconscious. Then, he began to seize.
Elizabeth and Portia (Brook Kerr) rushed Dante away and began a round of treatment. Chase (Josh Swickard) and Jordan (temporary recast Tiffany Daniels) arrived, assessed the situation, and took Alexis into custody.
A furious Nina (Cynthia Watros) arrived at the Metro Court restaurant ready to confront Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) over wearing the half-heart necklace, though Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) kept her from interrupting the live interview.
Carly (Laura Wright) desperately attempted to halt the proceedings, but Maxie (Kirsten Storms) and Lucy (Lynn Herring) shooed her away. Once Jackie (Kim Delaney) concluded the chat, Nina demanded an explanation from Sasha.
Avery, distraught over the ensuing argument, admitted to offering Sasha her good luck charm and told Nina that she had found it outside the Corinthos cabin. When Nina begged for more answers, Valentin told her to look to Carly. After all, he’d noticed how interested she was in Sasha’s choice of accessory!
A state trooper returned Sonny (Maurice Benard) to Phyllis and Lenny (Rif Hutton) who promised to take full responsibility for him. However, the couple insisted that there were some conditions — namely that Sonny submit to a psych evaluation. When he scoffed, Lenny told him it was to either comply or sit in a jail cell.
Meanwhile, Curtis (Donnell Turner) had yet another run-in with Jordan, and when he again refused a reconciliation, Jordan told him it was time to make a decision. It’s either come back to her or get a divorce. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
