The General Hospital recap for October 19-23, 2020, features Carly having a rough time of it, Ava keeping her heart under lock and key, and so much more.
Carly (Laura Wright) has really had a rough week. First, she had to suffer through the indignity of further prying into Nelle’s (Chloe Lanier) death. Then she was plagued with nightmares that heavily featured her daughter’s recently harvested kidney. And to top it all off, Nelle’s corpse tried to drag her down into the earth so that they could chill together for all eternity!
Or, at least that’s what happened in Carly’s mind. Mrs. Corinthos has never been the most stable of individuals – as her many stays in many psychiatric institutions can attest. Might Nelle’s death be the final tipping point into total madness?
Or, is there more to the story? Nelle loved to gaslight an enemy. Especially if that enemy was Carly. (By the way, did you know that Morgan loved penguins?) And we never did learn who it was that identified Nelle’s body. Is it possible that Nelle is alive and well and drugging her favorite plaything in hopes of sending her over the edge?
Ava (Maura West) has a big complex where love is concerned. It comes with the territory when you’ve had a lover stab your cloying daughter to death.
So, call her crazy for not immediately believing Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) when he poured his heart out to her. What’s it gonna take for her to believe him? Why a multi-million dollar divorce of course. Plus, it kills two birds with one stone. Well, it actually keeps Julian (William deVry) safe from Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) murderous wrath. But you catch our drift.
Anyone else bemoaning the fact that Trina (Sydney Mikayla) forever relegated Cameron (William Lipton) to the friendzone? And is there anybody out there still pulling for him and Josslyn (Eden McCoy)?
If Sam (Kelly Monaco) is as worried for her mother as she claims to be, why hasn’t she contacted Finn (Michael Easton)? Last we checked, he was her sponsor and close friend.
R.I.P Valentina and Hello to whatever portmanteau the fans will conjure up for Brook Lynn (Briana Lane) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart). Their hook up came out of nowhere – just last week she called him the devil incarnate – but it was nonetheless welcome.
To divorce, or not to divorce? That is the question plaguing the married for conveniences sake Michael (Chad Duell) and Willow (Katelyn MacMullen). Whatever these two decide, they had better do it quickly. Chase (Josh Swickard) is a time bomb waiting to explode and Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) is this close to losing herself in a cocaine fueled wonderland.
Cyrus (Jeff Kober) likes to believe that he holds all the cards. But it appears that he overextended himself when he made veiled threats Julian’s way. Last we saw, the “reformed” character was busily preparing Mr. Renault’s execution! Couldn’t happen to a “nicer” guy. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
